FAQs.

No. VibeTV does not need its own account or subscription. Plug it in, connect it to Wi-Fi, install the VibeTV Mac App, and it can show the usage and workflow signals from the AI tools you already use.

VibeTV does not create new data. It reads the usage and status information that your AI tools and providers already make available on your Mac, then turns it into a simple display update.

For example, Claude Code keeps local activity records in

~/.claude/history.jsonl

and ~/.claude/projects/.

Your current usage and limits are read through your existing signed-in provider connection.

Your Mac and VibeTV need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. The VibeTV Mac App reads the available usage data on your Mac and sends the display updates directly to VibeTV over your local network. That is how the display stays current while you work.

VibeTV is powered via USB-C. If you mean a version that transfers data over USB-C instead of Wi-Fi: not yet, but we are working on it.

Yes. VibeTV comes with pre-installed themes, and you can build your own in the included Theme Studio. Use your own GIFs, sprites, colours, logo and layouts to create a display that fits your setup.
